Latin America's enthusiasm for health and fitness apps continues unabated in the first quarter of 2024, with several leading applications showing strong performance on the Android platform. Data provided by Sensor Tower offers a glimpse into the trends and usage of these popular applications.

The Sweatcoin・Walking Step Counter app, developed by UK-based Sweatco Ltd, has seen a consistent uptick in weekly active users, reaching 930K in the last week of March from an already impressive 833K at the start of the year. Downloads peaked at 285K in the final week of March, while the app's revenue trended upwards, hitting $1K in several weeks throughout the quarter.

EZ Health's Weight Loss for Women: Workout also demonstrated robust engagement, with weekly active users increasing from 447K to over 511K during the quarter. The app maintained a steady download rate, with a slight increase to 118K downloads by the end of March.

The Home Workout - No Equipment app by Leap Fitness Group from China maintained a strong user base, with active users reaching nearly 1M in mid-February. Although the app saw a dip in active users to 833K by the end of March, it sustained a healthy revenue stream throughout the quarter, with a notable peak of $619K in mid-February.

For BetterMe: Health Coaching by Cyprus-based BetterMe Limited, revenue remained impressive, with figures such as $17K and $18K in early February. Weekly active users showed a downward trend, however, decreasing from 390K to 195K by the quarter's end.

Lastly, the Buttocks Workout - Fitness App from Simple Design Ltd. in Hong Kong had a notable surge in downloads to 175K in the first week of March, with weekly active users peaking at 731K during the same period. Despite generating no revenue, the app's download and active user metrics point to a strong presence in the region.
